PGDM-International Business department of JIMS, Rohini organized a training session for the batch (2019-21) on “Introduce Yourself” on 3rd October,2020. The speaker of the session was Mr Ankit Kalonia, A Job Interview Coach with 11 years of versatile experience in multiple domains like Hospitality sector, Workplace services and Human Resources (Learning & Development).
The objective of the session was to tell the importance of self-introduction for a management student at the time of interview. Mr Ankit introduced himself first in which he included his educational background, credentials, achievements. He explained that professional self-introduction requires your name (who you are), your occupation (what you do) or what you intend to be if you are not working right now and lastly some facts that creates a nice impression on the person you are interacting with (what others need to know about you). Mr Ankit took care that he needs to train the students as their placements were going to begin within a short period of time and students have to be well prepared for the self-introduction because first impression is the last impression. Mr Ankit illustrated every point with live examples.
Overall the session gave a practical approach to the students.
