An alumni Session on “Path to success through software testing” was organised on 31st August 2020 for the students of BCA 3rd year. The resource person for the session was Ms. Vidhi Pahuja, an alumnus of BCA 2014 batch. She is currently working as a Business Analyst with Sun life Assurance Malaysia.
She started the session with the brief introduction of the Software testing, the role of the testers, importance of the testing in the industry and required domain knowledge. She also spoke about the basic requirements to become a tester in the projects execution of testing and various certifications which can help students to grow in the field of testing. She talked about the career path of a Business analyst, the required relevant experience for being an analyst and all the certifications that can benefit the students’ career in this domain.
Students got an overview about the testing profile and the factors they should keep in mind while taking testing as career option.
It was an interactive session which ended with Q&A round wherein students asked their doubts and also raised various concerns which they face while appearing for Interviews or industry trainings.
