Brandquest 2020

To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong and start to think out of the box.


With the motive of stimulating such attitude and unleashing the creative marketing personas of the students; MARQUEST, The Marketing Club of JIMS organized its gala event for the academic session 2020-21 called BrandQuest held on August 22,2020. The event was presided over by Dr. Bhavneet Kaur, the marketing club  convener. The event was further graced with the presence of Dr. Amisha Gupta, Professor, JIMS; and Dr. Neha Shukla, Associate Professor, JIMS. 

Each team was given a product on the spot for which they had to decide a brand name, prepare a tagline and a thirty second TV commercial.The participants were provided with a preparation time of thirty minutes. Total 18 teams participated, comprising of  3 members each.A vast variety of products, ranging from everyday essentials such as toothbrush, toothpaste,  biscuits, ketchup, soap to electronics like as air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave, laptop and luxury items such as home theatre etc were the objects of discussion. There was a huge participation with total audience numbers clocking up above 120. 

Meanwhile, for the engagement, fun and frolic of the audience, activities such as guess the brands from their logos and jingles were arranged, and the participation was overwhelming.  

All the teams performed astoundingly well, with their presentations and TV commercials. The event was brought to a closure with the judges announcing the two winning teams.  Winners for the two activities from the audience were also declared. A note of thanks from the club convenor and a few encouraging words from the judges were delivered. It’s exhilarating how the event turned out to be such a great success, despite being our first event to be held via an online platform, owing to the immense participation of enthusiastic students, supervision and support of teaching and non teaching staff and the unfathomable efforts of the club coordinators.
