Guest Lecture on “Skills and Attributes in Managing Global Operations” by PGDM-International Business and Retail Management on 14th Dec 2019.

The RM and IB dept organised a guest session on the topic “Skills and Attributes in Managing Global Operations” by Dr Nitinraj Seth, Programme Director – Management Auckland Institute of Studies. The session revolved around the emerging market complexity globally. Relationship, language, modernisation, income are all different attributes affecting the global market operations. He further explained the challenges faced by MNC's due to globalisation. For decades companies are facing critical decisions due to reduced growth rates in saturated developed economies. He also explained how emerging markets have increasingly gained economic relevance for MNCs’ internationalization strategies, primarily for their rapid pace of development together with tremendous growth and resulting value potential for MNCs.

He continued his discussion by defining offshore and onshore competition. According to him workforce diversity is one of the important factors to manage the operations globally.
