It is almost that time of the year, when the final year students need to start doing their last minute preparation for their placements. To help these students, JIMS Rohini, Sec-5, organised a guest lecture on the topic “ Tips for GD and Interview”. The session was conducted by Dr. Neelam Dhall who is an expert in the field of organizational behaviour and human resource management. She enlightened the students by giving explicit knowledge about the rounds that take place during the placement, that comprised of written test, group discussion, and personal interview. She gave students a deeper understanding about all these rounds and the expectaion of companies during the process. After this session, students got a clearer picture of how one should be formally dressed, their genuine body language and how to converse during the group discussion and personal interview. The event was further concluded by a Q&A session, where ma’am, cleared out all the doubts that the students had regarding the placement. This helped them in boosting up their confidence. The session certainly helped in motivating the students and in bridging the gap between a college student and a potential professional.
