Tuesday Talk by Ms. Sugandha Sharma and Ms. Chetna Laroiya


Ms. Sugandha Sharma presented a research paper titled “Phase wise analysis of Dynamic Relationship among Gold, Crude Oil, US Dollar and Stock Market”. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the dynamic relationship among Gold, Crude oil, Indian Rupee-US Dollar and Stock market-Sensex (gold, oil, dollar and stock market (GODS)) in the pre-crisis, financial crisis and the post-crisis periods in the Indian context. The research findings of this study are vital to the large group of stakeholders and participants of gold, crude oil, US dollar and stock market in emerging economies like India. The results are useful to importers, exporters, government, policy makers, corporate houses, retail investors, portfolio managers, commodity traders, treasury and fund managers, other commercial traders, etc.

Ms. Chetna Laroiya presented a paper titled “Harnessing Blockchain Technology for Transforming Society” She discussed that New technology brings transformation in lives and has the purpose of bringing efficiency in operations. Transparency and security of data and information have become the new challenge in the era of digitalization and thus result into new innovations in the area of technological advancement. Distributed ledger technology (DLT) and decentralized mechanism used in new innovative technology called blockchain provides solutions to these concerns. This paper focused on the concept of block chain technology with an understanding of common terminology. The study also emphasizes several benefits this technology is providing to businesses. This paper also depicted the functionality of blockchain and discusses its application in various areas and industries, the concerns and challenges associated with the technology.
