A guest lecture on Entrepreneurship Motivation


A guest lecture on "Entrepreneurship Motivation" was held at JIMS, Rohini, New Delhi on 28th August 2018 in which student were provided information about various avenues for starting their own ventures and various available government schemes. At the end of the session, students also got an opportunity to enroll for the Entrepreneurship Development Certification through E-Learning, of Ministry of Skill development & Entrepreneurship.

The Guest lecture was organised by the student coordinators of ‘Tarkash’, the Entrepreneurship Cell of JIMS, Rohini. The guest speaker was Prof. H.P.SINGH, Senior Faculty & Program in Charge of the National Institute for Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.

Jahnvi, PGDM student of JIMS started the session by welcoming the guest with a floral bouquet. Prof. HP Singh during his session gave a brief introduction of NIESBUD and also talked about various aspects of Entrepreneurship and Government initiatives. He told students about the finance support available to the new StartUps through Banks and Financial Institutions. He also explained about initiatives and schemes by the Ministry of Women and Child Development specifically for the Women Entrepreneurs. The students got motivated when he gave the examples of some of the entrepreneurs who achieved success at a very young age or in a very challenging circumstances.

Prof. Singh ended the session with a very good quote "Everyone's name can come on Facebook but try to do something that your name appears on GOOGLE"

This session not only motivated the students but they also came to know about different ways to start their own venture. Students need leaders like Prof. HP Singh who can guide and mentor them through their entrepreneurial journey.
