An interactive and motivating session was organized for PGDM (Gen)-2013-15 and PGDM (Gen)-2012-14 batches on the topic “Financial Literacy Agenda for Mass Empowerment” on 27th July, 2013. The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Nomit Kochhar (Asst. Vice President, India Infoline Ltd).
Mr. Kochhar shared the essence of FLAME i.e. Financial Literacy Agenda for Mass Empowerment. He defined the future perspectives of Finance as an industry and the growth opportunities. Sharing his experience with the students he mentioned the entire financial modeling and its products. He defined the obstacles that students face in the practical aspects of Finance as a sector. Various topics and key areas were defined in the presentation i.e. financial tools of Literacy, major players in financial markets and Technical structure of Finance. Also, the financial structure was defined as Capital Market and Money Market where Capital market was further divided into Primary and Secondary Markets. It was a complete explanation of the financial trends in the industry.
Students were engrossed in the financial terminology as our guest speaker explained them with great enthusiasm. Over all, the session was highly interactive and was well greatly appreciated by the students.
