MIC-Driven AI Awareness Workshop Promotes Atmanirbhar Bharat at JIMS

As part of the HEI Pre-Summit Engagements for the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026, an MIC-driven academic activity was successfully conducted on 23rd January 2026 at JIMS. The activity was organized in alignment with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, focusing on strengthening AI awareness, decision-making skills, and self-reliant digital competencies among students.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Deepika, Assistant Professor, who served as the Resource Person. The program aimed to provide participants with a structured understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, and AI-enabled decision systems, with emphasis on practical applications across management and technology domains.

The workshop was conducted through two intensive sessions. The first session introduced the fundamentals of AI and Machine Learning, highlighting the evolution from traditional predictive models to Generative AI. Concepts related to Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering were discussed, enabling students to design and refine prompts for generating accurate and domain-specific outputs.

The second session focused on applied AI technologies, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), IoT integration, and Agentic AI. A hands-on demonstration using AI simulators helped participants understand real-world workflow automation and AI-based decision-support systems. The session also emphasized Responsible AI, addressing ethical considerations, data privacy, and bias mitigation.

Overall, the activity significantly enhanced students’ AI literacy, applied decision-making skills, and responsible technology adoption, reinforcing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by empowering learners with future-ready digital capabilities.
