The Department of Information Technology, JIMS, organized an industrial visit to the 33rd Convergence India Expo 2026 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on March 25, 2026. The visit aimed to provide students with exposure to cutting-edge technologies and innovations shaping the future of industries.
Students were accompanied by Dr Shivani Vats, Assistant Professor, JIMS, Rohini, who guided them throughout the visit and facilitated meaningful learning experiences. The expo showcased a wide range of technological advancements, including Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), 5G communication, smart city solutions, and digital infrastructure.
During the visit, students explored various exhibition stalls presented by leading companies, startups, and government organisations. Live demonstrations of innovative products and solutions allowed students to understand practical implementations of concepts learned in classrooms. The interaction with industry experts provided valuable insights into technological advancements, current industry demands, and career pathways.
