The NSS Cell of Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Rohini, successfully organized a Nasha Mukti Awareness Rally on 22nd June 2026 from 11:00 AM onwards in Rohini Sector-5 and Rithala area under the theme "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – Viksit Bharat Ki Pehchaan". The rally aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle among students and the community.
The initiative was undertaken to educate citizens about the physical, mental, and social consequences of substance abuse while encouraging individuals to make responsible and informed life choices. NSS volunteers and students enthusiastically participated in the rally, carrying informative placards, banners, and slogans advocating a drug-free society and reinforcing the vision of a developed and empowered India.
During the rally, participants actively interacted with local residents and passersby, spreading awareness about the dangers of addiction and emphasizing the importance of prevention, self-discipline, and healthy living. The awareness drive covered key areas of Rohini Sector-5 and Rithala, engaging community members in meaningful discussions on the need to combat substance abuse and build a healthier society.
The campaign successfully sensitized participants and the general public to the adverse effects of drugs and other addictive substances. It motivated young people to adopt positive habits, resist negative peer pressure, and become responsible citizens contributing towards nation-building. Through impactful messages and community outreach, the rally highlighted that a drug-free society is essential for achieving the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
