The DBMS review session was conducted to strengthen students’ understanding of Database Management System fundamentals, with a special focus on Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams. The session covered key concepts such as:
- Basic database concepts
- Strong and weak entities
- Attributes and relationships
- Drawing an ER diagram
- Assertion–Reason based conceptual questions
The session was highly relevant for students preparing for competitive exams, higher studies entrance tests, and placement drives, where conceptual clarity in DBMS plays a crucial role.
Objectives of the Session
The primary objectives of the session were:
- To reinforce basic DBMS concepts for academic and competitive purposes
- To develop conceptual clarity in ER diagrams
- To enhance students’ ability to solve application-based and assertion–reason questions
- To identify learning gaps through pre-assessment
- To measure learning improvement through post-assessment
Objective of Analysis
To evaluate the effectiveness of the session, a pre-test and post-test assessment was conducted. This report presents a comparative analysis of student performance before and after the session.
