Workshop on Business Model Canvas for Aspiring Entrepreneurs


The workshop on Business Model Canvas was successfully organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) under the guidance of the Startup Coordinator, Dr. Jyotsana Oswal, with valuable support and contribution from Dr. Sachin Sabharwal. The primary objective of the session was to equip students with essential entrepreneurial skills and provide them with a structured framework to develop, analyse, and refine innovative business ideas. The workshop was conducted in an interactive and engaging manner, ensuring active involvement and participation from all students.

Dr. Jyotsana Oswal played a crucial role in planning and organizing the event, ensuring that the workshop delivered both conceptual clarity and practical exposure. Dr. Sachin Sabharwal further enriched the session through his insightful explanations and hands-on approach. He not only explained the concepts in a simple and relatable manner but also assigned practical activities during the session. Students actively participated in these activities, applying the concepts of the Business Model Canvas in real-time, which enhanced their understanding and retention.

The workshop introduced participants to the nine key components of the Business Model Canvas, including value proposition, customer segments, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partnerships, and cost structure. Real-life examples and case-based discussions helped students connect theoretical concepts with practical business scenarios.

Additionally, the session emphasized the importance of creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking in entrepreneurship. It encouraged students to think critically, work collaboratively, and come up with unique business solutions. The interactive discussions and classroom participation created a dynamic learning environment, allowing students to ask questions and share ideas confidently.

Overall, the workshop proved to be highly informative and impactful. It not only enhanced students’ knowledge of business planning but also fostered an entrepreneurial mindset.
