An online webinar on “Union Budget 2026: Implications for Higher Education” was organized as a live telecast on 9 March 2026 through a YouTube channel. The session brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academicians, and research experts to discuss how the Union Budget 2026 shapes the future of higher education, research, skill development, and innovation in India. The event focused on aligning education with employment opportunities, emerging digital and creative industries, inclusive development, and strengthening scientific research infrastructure to support the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Objectives of the Event
