Mock Interview Session for BCA Students – Pre-Placement Training 2026


The Mock Interviews were conducted by panels comprising faculty members on 28th February 2026.  The event was organised by Dr Geeta Sharma for BCA second-year and final-year students.  The Google Form was circulated in the official WhatsApp groups to get the exact number of participants.  Each student appeared for an individual interview simulating real placement conditions. They were evaluated on parameters such as subject knowledge, clarity of thought, communication skills, confidence, attitude, and grooming. Students were also required to bring a printed copy of their resume, which was reviewed and discussed during the session. Constructive feedback and improvement tips were shared with each participant for self-improvement and preparation for actual recruitment drives.  The details of the panels are as follows:

Objectives

The Mock Personal Interviews were organized as part of the pre-placement training series to help BCA students prepare for their final placement process. The key objectives of the session were:

  • To familiarise students with the structure and expectations of real corporate interviews.
  • To assess students’ communication, confidence, and overall presentation during interviews.
  • To provide personalized feedback and guidance to improve their readiness for campus placements.
  • To enhance students’ understanding of professional etiquette and body language in formal interview settings.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the activity, students were able to:

  • Identify their strengths and areas requiring improvement in interview performance.
  • Gain practical experience and confidence to face real job interviews effectively.
  • Understand the importance of a well-structured resume and professional presentation.
  • Develop improved communication, self-expression, and interpersonal skills essential for placement success.
  • Receive actionable feedback to align their preparation with industry expectations.
