The guest session titled “Business Analytics in Action: Insights, Intelligence & Impact” was successfully organized under the banner of the Institution's Innovation Council in collaboration with the national initiative Viksit Bharat Abhiyan. The session also embarks the celebration of National Science Day highlighting the importance of data analysis in driving the future innovations. The session was conducted on 27th February 2026 at 12:00 PM onwards, attracting enthusiastic participation from students eager to understand the practical significance of analytics in today’s business environment.
The distinguished speaker for the session was Mr. Sparsh Srivastava, who is currently serving is as consultant/assistant manager at Deloitte. Drawing from his professional experience, he delivered an insightful and engaging talk on how business analytics plays a crucial role in modern organizations. He explained how companies rely on data-driven insights to improve decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and gain a competitive advantage in dynamic markets. Special emphasis was placed on the application of analytics in key domains such as Human Resources, Marketing, and Finance and entrepreneurship , where data is used for recruitment analysis, customer behavior prediction, financial forecasting, and risk management for new innovations.
The session also highlighted the growing demand for analytical skills in the corporate world and encouraged students to develop competencies in data interpretation, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. Through real-life examples and industry scenarios, participants were able to connect theoretical concepts with practical implementation. Overall, the session proved to be highly informative, interactive, and motivating, broadening students’ perspectives and inspiring them to explore career opportunities in analytics, consulting, and data-driven business roles.
