Introduction
The Yuva Connect Program was successfully organized at JIMS, Sector-5, Rohini, New Delhi as part of the national initiative aimed at connecting youth with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The program served as a platform to engage students in meaningful dialogue about nation-building, civic participation, and the role of youth in shaping India’s future.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Arora, Principal and Nodal Officer, and was coordinated by Ms. Deepika, Viksit Bharat Convenor. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who gathered to understand the mission of building a developed and self-reliant India.
Objectives of the Event
The Yuva Connect event aimed to:
- Connect youth with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 through structured engagement and civic participation.
- Empower youth through dialogue with policymakers, public representatives, and youth icons.
- Encourage digital participation and onboarding on the MY Bharat portal.
- Strengthen volunteerism and create a nationwide database of engaged youth contributing to national development.
The program commenced with a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and participants. Ms. Deepika addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of youth participation in national development. She highlighted the role of educational institutions in shaping responsible citizens who contribute positively to society. Youth Icon Ms. Lavisha Arora, shared her inspiring journey and encouraged students to develop leadership skills, social responsibility, and a spirit of service towards the nation. Her address motivated the students to actively engage in initiatives that contribute to the development of the country.
During the session, an insightful presentation through two engaging PPTs focusing on the themes of “Vande Mataram – The Civilisational Mantra for Viksit Bharat 2047” and “Viksit Bharat 2047: A Civilisational Mission” were discussed with the participants. The main highlights were the historical and cultural significance of Vande Mataram as a symbol that inspired India’s freedom movement and continues to represent the nation’s spirit, unity, and civilizational identity. The vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 was discussed, emphasizing the importance of youth participation in achieving a developed, self-reliant, and globally respected India. Through examples related to Digital India, infrastructure growth, women-led development, innovation, and sustainable progress, she encouraged students to contribute actively to nation-building and adopt a sense of duty towards the country’s future.
An interactive Yuva Samvad session was also conducted, where students shared their ideas, perspectives, and aspirations regarding India’s progress. The session fostered constructive dialogue and provided students with a platform to voice their thoughts on the future of the nation.
