Rohini: The Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS) in association with (DTU) Delhi Technological University, organized Prastuti Ideathon 2026 on the theme “Climate Awareness to Climate Action: Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future,” continuing its long-standing tradition of encouraging innovation and creative thinking among students. Held annually since 2007, the event provides a dynamic platform for young minds to present innovative solutions to pressing global challenges.
The ideathon was facilitated and coordinated by Jagan Institute of Management Studies—an institution with over three decades of excellence in management and IT education—and received technical support from Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering.
This year’s edition witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 350 registrations from students representing premier institutions such as IIT(BHU), Netaji Subhas University of Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia, University of Delhi, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, and Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Following a rigorous screening process, 80 teams were shortlisted to present their ideas at the event.
The selected teams showcased their innovative solutions across four parallel tracks, where their ideas were evaluated by a distinguished panel of domain experts and academicians. After a comprehensive assessment, four outstanding teams were selected for the cash prizes: Track 1 – Most Innovative Idea (NSUT); Track 2 – Theme Excellence Award (SRCC, DU); Track 3 – Most Innovative Idea (DSC, DU); and Track 4 – Theme Excellence Award (JIMS Sector-5, Rohini). In addition, the First Runner-up and Second Runner-up teams in each track were also recognized with consolation prizes for their commendable efforts.
A special highlight of the event was the presence of youth environmentalist Abhiir Bhalla, recognized among BBC’s Top Youth Environmentalists (2020) and a three-time TEDx speaker, who inspired participants with his insights on environmental responsibility and climate action.
The Prastuti Ideathon 2026 concluded on a high note, leaving behind a powerful message of innovation, responsibility, and youth-driven commitment towards building a sustainable future.
