Objectives of the Sports Meet
The primary objectives of organizing the 19th Sports Meet 2K26 were:
- To promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyle among students.
- To encourage team spirit, leadership, and sportsmanship.
- To provide a platform for students to showcase their athletic talents.
- To develop strategic thinking, coordination, and decision-making skills through competitive sports.
- To foster inter-departmental interaction and camaraderie.
- To reduce academic stress and promote mental well-being through recreational activities.
Learning Outcomes
Through active participation in the 19th Sports Meet 2K26, students were able to achieve the following learning outcomes:
- Enhanced Physical Fitness: Improved stamina, strength, agility, and coordination.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Students learned to work cohesively in team-based sports such as volleyball, football, basketball, and tug of war.

The 19th Sports Meet 2K26 was successfully organized by JIMS for students of BBA, BCA, BA (Economics Hons.) and MCA with the aim of promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and overall personality development among students. The event provided a vibrant platform for students to display their physical strength, strategic thinking, coordination, and competitive spirit.
The Sports Meet was conducted over three days, from 29th to 31st, at Sector-5 and respective sports venues, with enthusiastic participation from students across various programmes.

A wide range of indoor and outdoor sports events were organized, witnessing enthusiastic participation:
Shot Put: 95 participants
Table Tennis: 52 participants
Tug of War:
- Girls: 10 matches
- Boys: 16 matches
Football:
- Boys: 9 teams
- Girls: 2 teams
Carrom: 42 participants
Badminton: 90 participants
Chess:
- Boys: 51 participants
- Girls: 28 participants
Marathon: 55 participants
Race:
- Boys: 59 participants
- Girls: 57 participants
Volleyball: 14 teams
Arm Wrestling:
- Boys: 20 participants
- Girls: 22 participants
Cricket:
- Boys: 11 participants
- Girls: 2 participants
Basketball
- Boys: 11 participants
- Girls: 2 participants
The events were conducted smoothly under the guidance of faculty members, with proper rules and fair play being ensured. Winners were encouraged and acknowledged, motivating participants to perform better.
