Verve 2026, the annual intra college techno-management and cultural festival of Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), was a unique celebration of artistic excellence, passion, and innovation. With the theme “Ignite, Unite, and Celebrate,” the fest created a platform for students to come together, compete, and celebrate.
The fest was a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talent in management, technology, and culture. Verve 2026 encouraged students to break barriers and achieve their potential through a series of well-organized competitions, workshops, and cultural events. Apart from encouraging creativity and cultural diversity, the fest also helped the student coordinators enhance their leadership and organizational skills.
What made Verve 2026 truly special was that it was a completely student-run event, which was proudly showcased through #ByJIMSForJIMS. The fest, which was a completely student-run event, showed a remarkable level of cooperation and dedication. The cultural fest was a memorable experience for all those who were a part of it, with active participation, a receptive audience, and a lively atmosphere throughout.It will always be remembered and will set a benchmark for future events, a testament to the passion of the students and the dedication of the organizing team.

STUDENT PARTICIPATION
Students from Jagan Institute of Management Studies Sector 5 Rohini, Jagan Community College Sector 3 Rohini, and Jaggannath University participated in Verve 2026 with remarkable enthusiasm and vibrant energy. In addition to technical events, managerial challenges, cultural performances, and enjoyable activities, they actively participated in a variety of competitions.
Every event was interesting because of their commitment, inventiveness, and strong sense of teamwork, which gave the festival life. Students showed remarkable talent in a variety of areas, from captivating dance and music performances to remarkable problem-solving abilities displayed in tech challenges and business plan contests. Overall, their enthusiastic involvement was crucial in helping to make Verve 2025 a huge success and an experience that will always be remembered by all.
EVENT 1: SUR SANGAM
The music competition, Sur Sangam, that took place at our college cultural event, was indeed a mesmerizing experience. The students from JIMS Sector 5, JIMS Sector 3 and JNU stepped up on the stage and displayed their amazing singing skills with passion and confidence. Whether it was the soulful classical performances or the peppy Bollywood songs, each and every performance left the audience spellbound and the atmosphere was filled with excitement. The participants sang their hearts out, and the audience cheered and applauded for them.
Open Mic was an exciting and entertaining competition where students were given an opportunity to showcase their creativity and talent. Students chose different types of performances such as stand-up comedy, poetry recitation, storytelling, and mimicry. Each performance demonstrated originality, confidence, and stage presence, which caught the attention of the audience. The program not only entertained the audience but also showcased the communication skills and talents of the participants. Open Mic was a supportive and inclusive environment that made the event a memorable and enriching experience for both the participants and the audience.
EVENT 3: MAIN BHI ACTOR HOON
The event Main Bhi Actor Hoon was an extraordinary platform that celebrated the art of acting and drama. In this competition, the participants performed as solo actors and delivered strong monologues. Every actor performed their character with confidence, emotions, and strong dialogue delivery, which had a long-lasting effect on the audience. The performances showcased creativity, depth, and dedication, which revealed the true potential of the participants.
EVENT 4: ENVOGUE: FASHION SHOW
. Envogue, the fashion show event, was a spectacular display of creativity, coordination, and style. Teams of 10 to 14 members participated enthusiastically, each with a unique theme of their choice as reflected in their clothes, choreography, and stage presence. The events included traditional elegance, modern, and contemporary fashion, showcasing innovation and teamwork. The participants walked the ramp confidently, depicting their theme with poise and vigor. The synchronization, expressions, and presentation left the audience and judges impressed
EVENT 5: PSYCH FIESTA
PsychFiesta was a very interesting and enlightening competition that was based on the theme “Happiness Hacks.” The competition allowed participants to think about ways in which they could relax and deal with stress in their lives. The competition allowed students to learn ways in which they could find their own personal hacks that would make them happy. The competition provided a platform where people could share their experiences and learn from each other.
EVENT 6:BUSINESS PLAN
The Business Plan competition was an exciting and thought-provoking activity that encouraged teams to think creatively about innovative solutions to unsatisfied market needs. Teams were expected to make a well-structured and comprehensive business presentation, highlighting effective resource utilization, a distinct competitive advantage, and thorough market analysis. Moreover, teams were able to demonstrate the financial feasibility of their plans and a logical time frame for sustainable growth of the company. The competition was a test of analytical and planning skills. It was a great opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to demonstrate their creativity and acumen in a professional setting.
EVENT 7: DEBATE
The debate competition on the theme “Save the Earth: Choice or Responsibility” was an intellectual and thought-provoking activity. The teams consisted of two members each, with one member speaking for the theme and the other member speaking against it. The members expressed their opinions in a clear, confident, and convincing manner, bringing out the concerns of the environment, the responsibility of the individual, and the challenges of the world.
EVENT 8: CLICK-O-MANIA
Click-o-mania was a thrilling photography contest that focused on the theme “Life on the Move.” The participants were able to capture images that showcased the essence of motion, progress, and the rhythm of life. Whether it was the streets, journeys, human expressions, or nature, every photograph had a story to tell. The creativity and perspective of the participants were reflected in the images they captured.
EVENT 9: KUCH KOOK HOTA HAI
Kuch Kook Hota Hai was a very exciting and flavorful cooking competition that showcased the culinary skills of the contestants. The contestants were asked to cook three dishes, out of which one was a starter, one was a main course, and the other was a dessert. Every contestant displayed creativity, presentation skills, and a combination of taste and health in their dishes. The smell of freshly cooked food filled the room.
EVENT 10: APPATHON
The Appathon event was a unique and technology-based competition that involved website and Android development. The teams showed keen interest in the competition, choosing a different topic to design and develop their projects. The competition was based on the creativity, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills of the participants who aimed to develop a user-friendly application or website.
EVENT 11: BATTLE OF BRAINS
Battle of Brains was an intellectual and engaging quiz competition that tested the knowledge, presence of mind, and team work of the participants. The competition was held in four interesting rounds, each of which tested a different set of skills in the participants. The competition was very engaging and competitive.
EVENT 12: GAMERS DEN
Gamers Den was an electrifying gaming experience that saw passionate gamers come together for some serious action in Rocket League and Valorant. The gaming competition was a test of strategy, teamwork, and reflexes as gamers fought it out in some serious gaming action. While Rocket League required gamers to work together in precision-crafted action in the game’s vehicular football action, Valorant required gamers to have their aim and strategy in place.
DJ Kunal — The Pulse of DJ Night at Verve 2026
The DJ Night at Verve was made truly electrifying with the dynamic performance of DJ Kunal. Known for his high-energy mixes and seamless blending of genres, he created an atmosphere that kept the audience on their feet throughout the evening. From trending EDM tracks to popular dance numbers, his setlist catered to every music lover present.
His engaging stage presence and perfectly timed drops transformed the night into a vibrant celebration of music and energy. The crowd enthusiastically responded to every beat, making DJ Night one of the most memorable highlights of Verve.

EVENT 1: DANCING FEET
Dancing Feet was an energetic dance competition that featured talented dancers from different styles of dance, such as classical, contemporary, hip-hop, and freestyle. The contestants amazed the audience with their coordination, expressions, rhythm, and stage presence. Every performance showed dedication, creativity, and passion for dancing. The competition was based on choreography, synchronization, costumes, and impact. The energetic music and cheering crowd made it a lively event, which made it a memorable experience.
EVENT 2: MR. & MS. VERVE
Mr. and Ms. Verve was a personality-based competition that aimed at showcasing confidence, intelligence, and charisma. The competition involved various rounds such as introduction, talent display, question and answer, and ramp walk. The competition not only judged the looks of the participants but also their intelligence, speaking skills, and confidence on stage. The contestants impressed the judges and audience with their talents and answers. The competition encouraged self-expression and individuality, where the participants were expected to display their true selves.
EVENT 3: RANG MANCH
Rang Manch, the Nukkad Natak served as a vibrant platform for students to express powerful social messages through street theatre. Rooted in the traditional format of nukkad natak, the event combined impactful storytelling, expressive performances, and strong dialogue delivery to engage and captivate the audience.The participating teams presented thought-provoking themes addressing contemporary social issues, spreading awareness while entertaining the spectators. The open and interactive format of the performances encouraged direct audience engagement, making the experience lively and meaningful.
EVENT 4: BHARTIYA KALA KAUSHAL
Bhartiya Kala Kaushal was a drawing competition that celebrated creativity and the richness of Indian culture. The competition encouraged creativity, accuracy, and originality. Every drawing was a masterpiece that expressed emotions and stories through creative visual expressions. The competition was an opportunity for young artists to display their talent and perspective. Bhartiya Kala Kaushal has indeed showcased the beauty of Indian art and the magic of creativity.
EVENT 5: DRAMATIC MONOLOGUE
The Dramatic Monologue competition gave the participants a chance to demonstrate their acting and narration skills through solo performances. The contestants had to perform as characters and present acts that were emotional, intense, or thought-provoking. The competition highlighted the importance of voice modulation, expressions, body language, and stage presence. The competition allowed the participants to demonstrate their creativity and confidence in acting.
EVENT 6: VISUAL VIBES
Visual Vibes was a creative media contest that included vlogs, reels, short films, and documentaries. The participants demonstrated their storytelling abilities through cinematography, editing, writing, and directing. Every submission showcased originality and innovation, ranging from social awareness to entertainment. Coding Mania was an intellectually challenging event where the contestants were required to fill up the missing statements in the provided programs and write code based on the given logic. The competition assessed their knowledge of programming concepts, syntax, and problem-solving skills. The contestants were required to analyse the logic carefully and implement the correct solutions based on the errors or missing parts in a short span of time. Coding Mania was an intellectually challenging event where the contestants were required to fill up the missing statements in the provided programs and write code based on the given logic.
EVENT 8: MIXOLOGY
Mixology was a refreshing and creative competition where participants had to create innovative mocktails using a combination of unique ingredients. Participants were judged on the basis of taste, presentation, creativity, and relevance to the theme. The competition showcased the skill of mixing flavors together while keeping the presentation in mind. Participants showed great skills in mixing and presenting their mocktails, making them visually appealing and delightful.
EVENT 9: DRESS A CAKE
Dress a Cake was an entertaining cake decorating competition that showcased creativity and culinary skills. Contestants were required to decorate simple cakes into artistic creations using icing, fondant, and other decorations. The competition focused on theme completion, cleanliness, creativity, and aesthetics. Each cake was a reflection of the contestant’s creativity and attention to detail. The competition brought a fun and competitive spirit among the contestants as they rushed against time to complete their designs. Dress a Cake was an expression of artistic talent in baking and challenged contestants to demonstrate their skills in cake decoration.
KRSNA — Star Performer of Star Night
The much-awaited Star Night at Verve reached its peak with an electrifying performance by KRSNA. Known for his powerful lyrics, sharp delivery, and commanding stage presence, he captivated the audience from the very first track.
With a lineup of his popular hits and high-energy rap sequences, KRSNA created an atmosphere charged with excitement and enthusiasm. The crowd sang along, cheered, and matched his energy throughout the performance, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone present. His performance truly became the highlight of Star Night, leaving the audience thrilled and wanting more.
