The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Jagan Institute of Management Studies successfully organized an Exposure Visit to the Incubation Centre at Delhi Technological University (DTU) on 16th February 2026 under the theme “Innovation and Incubation Support.” The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to startup ecosystems, incubation processes, and entrepreneurial development.
During the visit, students interacted with Mr. Amit Singh Rathod, CEO of DTU Innovation and Incubation Foundation (DTU-IIF), who shared valuable insights into startup mentoring, funding mechanisms, infrastructure support, and the journey from idea validation to scaling. The session emphasized that innovation is not merely about technology but about solving real-world problems through feasible and scalable solutions.
A total of 42 students and one faculty member participated in the visit. Students gained clarity on the difference between incubators and accelerators, startup lifecycle stages, and the collaborative nature of innovation ecosystems. The exposure significantly enhanced their motivation toward entrepreneurship and innovation-driven careers.
The visit proved to be an enriching learning experience, encouraging students to shift from a job-seeking mindset to opportunity creation and fostering an entrepreneurial culture within the institution.
