The NSS Unit of Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Rohini organized a Plantation Drive under the Green Action Plan 2025–26 on the occasion of Hariyali Teej from 1st to 27th July 2025, under the guidance of Dr. Ankur Tayal and Ms. Rupakshi Gaur, NSS In-charge.
The drive was conducted across four locations—JIMS Rohini Campus, Rithala Metro Station, Rithala Village, and Rohini Sector-5—where a total of 471 saplings, including trees, shrubs, and bamboo species, were planted to enhance urban green cover and promote biodiversity. Native and climate-resilient plant varieties were selected to ensure sustainability and long-term environmental impact.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers, faculty members, and local residents, fostering environmental awareness, community engagement, and a strong sense of social responsibility. The drive reaffirmed JIMS’s commitment to environmental conservation and its ongoing efforts towards building a greener and healthier future.
