The NSS Unit of JIMS, in collaboration with Edumedha, organized a Potli Bag Stall on 9th October 2025 at
JIMS, Rohini, Sector-5. The initiative aimed to promote sustainable livelihoods, eco-friendly products,
and women empowerment through skill-based learning and entrepreneurship. The handcrafted potli bags
displayed at the stall were made by girl students and women from the Edumedha Skill Centre, reflecting
creativity, traditional craftsmanship, and sustainability.
The stall received enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. Potli bags priced
between ?400 and ?700 were showcased, and a total of 11 bags were sold. NSS volunteers actively
assisted in stall management, interacting with buyers, and explaining the social purpose behind the initiative.
The proceeds supported welfare activities and contributed towards empowering women artisans.
Overall, the Potli Bag Stall was a meaningful initiative that combined social responsibility with
entrepreneurship. It successfully raised awareness about supporting local artisans and sustainable fashion
while reinforcing the NSS motto “Not Me But You.” The event strengthened collaboration between JIMS,
NSS, and Edumedha, encouraging students to become socially conscious and responsible individuals.
