JIMS Rohini Organized Business Plan Competition


Objective of the Event: The primary objectives of the competition were to encourage students to develop innovative business ideas, enhance their strategic thinking, improve their presentation skills, and promote teamwork. The event also aimed to provide industry exposure, allowing students to receive expert feedback and refine their business models.

The Business Plan Competition, organized by JIMS IIC, was held on February 28, 2025, at JIMS Sec-5, Audi B from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event aimed to foster entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and business acumen among students by providing them with a platform to present their business ideas. Participants were required to submit a structured business plan covering key elements such as company summary, product/service description, marketing strategy, and financial planning.

The competition was open to teams comprising a minimum of two and a maximum of four members, with the last date for business plan submission being February 22, 2025. Submissions were accepted via email, and a preliminary round was conducted on February 25, 2025, where teams presented a brief version of their business plans. The final round allowed teams to pitch their ideas in a 15-minute presentation, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony awarded the winners based on criteria such as innovation, functionality, and user experience. The winners were presented with certificates, trophies, and appreciation letters for their exceptional work. Faculty members and judges congratulated all participants for their dedication and hard work, encouraging them to continue refining their skills and ideas.

The event successfully achieved its objectives, offering participants a valuable learning experience while enhancing their public speaking, teamwork, and business development skills. Many students gained confidence in their entrepreneurial capabilities, with some expressing interest in further developing their business plans with the guidance of mentors. Additionally, the competition provided networking opportunities, enabling students to interact with industry experts and gain insights into real-world business challenges.

Learning Outcome: The Business Plan Competition and Prize Distribution Ceremony fostered innovation, teamwork, and strategic thinking among students. The event not only recognized talent but also motivated participants to pursue entrepreneurial ventures, making it a memorable and impactful experience for everyone involved.
