Anugoonj is a Mega Cultural event organized annually by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. An event like this is organized each year to facilitate students to showcase their talent through participating in various activities individually or in group. It helps in boosting the level of confidence in them and also teaches them how to make them able to cope up in various challenging situations and excel.
All the institutes affiliated to GGSIPU were divided into 5 zones for prelims. This year JIMS Sector-5 Rohini got the opportunity to organize prelims for zone-3. In all 28 Institutes are there to compete with each other in Zone 3.
Day 1 (23rd February 2023)
Day 1 witnessed various competitions including Singing, Dancing, Debates, Quiz, Creative Writing, Poetry and several other art activities. Students participated very enthusiastically and entertained the crowd with their amazing talent. There was a healthy competition between the students and 2 entries from each contest got selected for the finals in the University campus on 2nd March 2023.
Day 2 (24th February 2023)
Day 2 had two main activities. The battle of bands and dramatics which included One Act Play, Street Play and Mono Acting. The bands lit up the atmosphere of the college with their amazing performances and the drama acts impressed the judges with their acting and social message. It was a great experience to see the creativity and the innovativeness of the students from different colleges.
Day 3 (25th February 2023)
Day 3 was the last day of the prelims which was for selecting the Mr. and Ms. Anugoonj from Zone 3. Participants first introduced themselves, did the ramp walk and then showed their talents. The shortlisted candidates then had a question answer round with the judges.
Learning Outcomes:
- Students learnt how to overcome their fear of presenting themselves in front of huge audience.
- Students were able to understand the value of working in team and the importance of coordination and cooperation in teamwork.
It was a fantastic opportunity for JIMS Sector 5 Rohini to host Anugoonj prelims. The students truly entertained all in these 3 days of intense competition and immense talent shown by the participants. We wish all the best to the selected participants for their finals!
