Annual Inter College Debate Competition


ANNUAL INTER COLLEGE DEBATE COMPETITION
Marriage is an outdated institution on 13th September, 2014
Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Sector-5, Rohini, and Delhi organized Annual Inter College Debate for undergraduate students on the topic “Marriage is an outdated institution” on Saturday, 13th September, 2014. The welcome address was delivered by Dr J.K Goyal, Director JIMS where he introduced JIMS to the students.
JIMS Annual Debate Competition was a huge success and this time it showcased larger participation & enthusiasm of the students participating for the same. In all, 80 colleges participated in the competition. As there were enormous entries the competition was divided into 4 parallel tracks both in English & Hindi (3 in English & 1 in Hindi). The time allotted ‘for’ & ‘against’ the motion to speak to each participant was 4 minutes.

The debate was conceptualized by Ms Mahima Gupta and Mr. Bupender Son, Faculty, JIMS. The Debate Competition ended with the Prize Distribution Ceremony

All participants were also given the certificates of participation and consolation prizes were also given. Overall, the competition was well planned and conceptualized for all the participants & the audience.
