On 7th May 2021, TEKQBE conducted a workshop on the topic "Hackathons, open source and communities" in collaboration with Hack the Mountain's and Hack o’n Foundation. The resource for this event was Mr. Manav Bansal, MCA student. The session was all about what are Hackathons? How to apply for similar events like- Hack on 2.0 and HTM 2.0 etc., and What are the pros & cons of competitive programming? Mr. Manav provided an insight on Hackathons and open source code websites. He also suggested some websites like GitHub, CodeChef, Hackerearth etc and encouraged to participate in these contests and Hackathons. Large number of students of BCA, BBA, and MCA joined this session and learned aspects of Hackathons and communities. Overall, it was a great and informative session.
