Diwali, the festival of lights which iscelebrated by Indians all over the globe. The year 2020 started on a gloomynote, with an unknown virus (SARS- COVID-19) spreading through the nations likewildfire, bringing the whole world in a stand still. But how can we allow avirus to miss out celebrating our most favourite festival-Diwali. So for the first time Ekyum- The CulturalClub decided to organize Diwali event online at JIMS ROHINI SEC-5 on 12thNovember, 2020.
Theevent started with a warm welcome speech followed by a powerful danceperformance, singing performances with a melodious voice and beautiful rangolimaking competition which made everyone mesmerized by the amount of talent andthe efforts put by performers.
Fungames were organized by the club for audience to enjoy and feel a part of Diwalicelebration. The game was a mixture of dialogue delivery, guess the characterand song. Beside this, poetry was also a part of competition. It is believed that words are theperfect way to touch one’s heart especially when it is related to certainfestival culture; it reaches directly to our heart which gives an immenseamount of happiness. Teachers also shared their views about the performancesand told us their way of celebrating Diwali this year.
The online event ended on a great note alongwith a vote of thanks by the Cultural Club! Great efforts taken by the anchors,and the entire committee and enthusiastic participation by everyone made thiswhole event a success.
