Man's inherent wish to fly high and reach the sky would have surely made him invent the kite and fly it high. Kite flying is an inexpensive game and can be enjoyed alone or with number of people. Watching the colorful sky during the kite festival is indeed a feast to the eyes. Kite flying is lot of fun but the real excitement lies in cutting in each other's kites. The more kites you cut the more expert you are.
 
Different states associate kite flying with different festivals and kite flying and kite battles are an Independence Day tradition in Delhi. Heightening the festive spirit in the air, students and staff members of JIMS participated in kite making and kite flying on 14th August 2013 and it was an extravaganza boasting skies ablaze with color and high flying action. The winner of kite flying event was Mr.Shivam Malhotra, a student of BCA 3rd semester. In kite making competition, Ms.Sanjana Ahuja, a student of BBA 3rd Semester was the winner. In all it was great fun and students participated with great enthusiasm.
