Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Sector-5, Rohini, and New Delhi organized MDP Programme on Leadership through the power of influence at JIMS Campus, on Saturday 23rd June, 2012. The welcome address was given by Prof R.P Maheshwari, Director General, JIMS. He introduced JIMS as one of the prestigious brands in the education sector to all the participants coming from diverse sectors. He further defined the real meaning of Leadership by stating its qualities and traits. Further, the Head of MDP Cell Mr. C. George introduced the program and the key resource persons. The resource persons of the session were Mr. Suneel Keswani (Visiting Faculty, JIMS), Ms. Mansi Arora Madan (Assistant Professor) JIMS & Ms. Parul Raj (Associate Professor) JIMS.
The programme concentrated on the various aspects of leadership and the skills required for being a good leader. The participants from several prominent organizations were present. To name some were Allahabad Bank, Muthoot Fincorp Ltd, Indian Airforce, Bennet Coleman & Co Ltd, and TCS Technology.

Mr. Suneel Keswani is a versatile scholar and a Trainer. He holds a Masters Degree in Commerce(M.Com) from Delhi University, PG Diploma in Marketing and Sales from YMCA Institute ofManagement Studies and PG Diploma in Business Administration.
Mr. Keswani has a corporate experience of more than 28 years, having worked in the marketingdivisions of large companies like – CMC Ltd, Shriram Pistons & Rings Ltd. and The Times of India.
For the last 20 years, he has been actively involved in conducting Training and DevelopmentPrograms / Workshops in Management & Communication in lead Companies and is a visitingfaculty to a number of premier B-Schools / Engineering Institutes in India.
Mr. Suneel Keswani had Trained over 15,000 delegates and students and was awarded the best Faculty of GeneralManagement & Communication Skills Sessions (GMCS) New Delhi for the year 2004, 2005 & 2006 of The Institute ofChartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and also Recognized as one of the best Faculty of Management Skills OrientationProgram (MSOP) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

A graduate with Bachelor’s in Information Technology from Manipal University and B.Com fromUniversity of Delhi. Post graduate with MBA, specialization in Marketing from Rajasthan Universityand MA in English from IGNOU.
With an academic experience of more than 6 years in the area of HR/OB, Business Communicationand Soft Skills. She has conducted series of workshops on Soft Skills, Interpersonal Skills, TeamSpirit, Social Grace, Business Etiquettes, Negotiations Skills, Behavioral traits such as attitude,motivation and time management, Listening Skills, Group Discussions, Interviews and PresentationSkills. Conducted workshop for Hotel Management Training participants at Hotel Oberoi and Interns in HDFC Bank onmodules like Basic Etiquettes, Presentation Skills, Negotiation skills, Leadership Skills, Personal Management etc.
Ms. Parul Raj also has published several articles and research papers in the area of Business Ethics, Human ResourceManagement and Corporate Communications in Journals of repute.
She is currently working as an Associate Professor with JIMS.

Ms. Mansi Arora Madan has Masters Degree in Management with specialization in Marketing.Her corporate experience in Advertising and Public Relations with well known brands like ReckittBenkiser, ISB Hyderabad, and Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals has brought her an expertise inMarketing and Communications. Her acumen for writing has made her win literary awards at schooland college level and many accolades in her professional journey.
Ms. Mansi Arora Madan has been in academics for the last three years and has presented11 research papers in National and International Journals. She has also conducted severalManagement Development Programs for middle level corporate executives.
She is associated with JIMS as an Assistant Professor and also the editor for JIMS publications.
Our experts made excellent presentations and included video clips, group activities and exercises. The participants shared their experiences and gathered valuable information from the resource persons on the aspect of Leadership. They were given kits for useful information which covered 12 valuable tips to personal growth and self development and 12 tips for team building.
The Vote of Thanks was given by Mr. C. George wherein he congratulated all the participants for their active participation. With all the efforts of the MDP Cell, including Mr. C. George, Mr. Suneel Keswani, Ms Parul Raj and Ms Mansi Arora Madan the programme got an overwhelming response from the participants and our faculty members. The programme opened an avenue of cross cultural interactions where managers coming from diverse sectors interacted under one roof.
Overall the session was a fruitful and a Learning experience for all the faculty members as well for the participants and was well appreciated.
