JIMS Rohini Organized Roots and Rhythms


Objective of the event:-

Event Flow: Roots and Rhythms

The preliminary round was held on 8 October with the participation of 38 teams, each consisting of 3 members, bringing the total number of students to 114. The students were filled with excitement as they took part in the event. The students were incredibly excited and eager to showcase their skills, making the competition a thrilling experience right from the start. After the intense prelims, 6 teams were selected and finalized for the final day, creating anticipation for the culmination of the event.

On the day of the event, October 10, the excitement among students was palpable as they gathered for a day full of learning and fun. The event kicked off with a vibrant heritage walk, where 15 students participated, each proudly representing various cultural traditions, offering a great start to the day. It was a walk where the participants dressed up in traditional clothing representing different states in the country. The walk set the perfect tone, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm. Following the walk, the quiz competition began, engaging students further and challenging their knowledge of history, culture, and heritage. It was a day filled with excitement, learning, and friendly competition, making it a memorable experience for all involved. The quiz competition is divided into four rounds:

  1. Round one: This round was called the “Chit Round”. In this round the anchor picked a chit from the bowl with slogans of famous Teams must guess the leader and raise their placards to answer.
  2. Round two: This round was called the “Song and Prop Round”. In this round a patriotic song was played, and the teams had to rush to pick the related prop from the
  3. Round three: After the heritage walk, third round took place. This round was called the “Buzzer Round”. This round was a rapid-fire session with patriotic- themed Teams had to quickly press the buzzer to answer first.
  4. Round four: Fourth Round was the last This was called the “Charades Round”. In this round teams had to act out and guess famous patriotic personalities based on their actions.

After every round, one team was eliminated. The last round had 3 teams, and the winners were decided among them.
