To mark the occasion of Startup Day, the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of JIMS Rohini organized “Entreprequest: A Gamified Role-Play Event Focused on Startup Challenges and Success” on January 16th, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. onwards in the A Building Auditorium at JIMS. The session also introduced the IIC Cell at JIMS, which aims to nurture budding entrepreneurs by providing mentorship and structured support.
Participants gained valuable insights into how the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) fosters innovation and guides students on the path to entrepreneurship. The IIC Cell’s comprehensive framework was explained in detail, starting with creating awareness among students about opportunities and resources for their entrepreneurial ventures. The process includes interactive sessions where students can present their ideas and receive constructive feedback, competitions where they can pitch their start-ups, visits to incubation centers for real-world exposure, and regular workshops for skill development.
Through the roleplay, participants were able to understand the practical aspects of building a start- up, from ideation and strategic planning to overcoming real-world challenges. The event emphasized the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and innovation as essential traits for success in entrepreneurship. The roleplay was designed to simulate real-life scenarios, helping participants develop problem-solving and decision-making skills while learning to handle unexpected challenges with creativity and resilience.
Following the roleplay, Dr. Deepti Khanna addressed the audience and motivated students to recognize and act on their entrepreneurial potential. Nagender, a coordinator of the IIC Cell, then provided a detailed overview of the cell’s activities and long-term vision. He explained the key steps the cell will follow to ensure that every idea—whether from students or faculty—receives the right guidance and support. Future plans include hosting start-up-related competitions, organizing visits to incubation centers, inviting young entrepreneurs to share their journeys, and launching blogs on the JIMS website to provide entrepreneurial insights and experiences.
The event left participants inspired to think beyond conventional methods, explore innovative solutions, and confidently present their ideas. It reinforced the importance of feedback and continuous
