Objective of the Event:

The primary objective of Code Kshetra 2.0 was to provide a platform for students, professionals, and tech enthusiasts to showcase their skills, collaborate on innovative solutions, and gain hands-on experience in tackling real-world challenges. The event aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by fostering a culture of problem-solving, teamwork, and technical excellence. Additionally, it sought to connect participants with industry experts, mentors, and potential employers, enabling them to gain insights into the latest technological trends and innovations.

Code Kshetra 2.0, held on February 21-22, 2025, successfully established itself as India’s largest hackathon with an overwhelming 14,713 registrations. Organized by Geek Room in collaboration with JIMS IIC, this 36-hour hackathon brought together students, industry professionals, and tech innovators from across the country. With an acceptance rate of less than 5%, only the top 150 teams advanced to the final rounds, ensuring a highly competitive and innovation-driven environment. Supported by Major League Hacking (MLH) and backed by leading AI firms like Groq, Pathway, and AI Hello, Code Kshetra 2.0 provided participants with an unparalleled platform for learning, networking, and problem-solving.

The event witnessed participation from premier institutions such as IITs, IIITs, NITs, DTU, and IGDTUW, along with professionals from leading companies like Mercedes-Benz and Max Hospital. With 30% of participants from outside Delhi and 17% industry professionals, the event fostered a diverse and inclusive atmosphere. The ?1 Crore+ prize pool, comprising cash rewards, API credits, and exclusive goodies, elevated the hackathon to an elite level. The rigorous selection process included an initial screening based on GitHub and LinkedIn profiles, followed by mentoring sessions where experts refined project ideas. The final judging round saw the top 15 teams present their solutions before an esteemed panel, including professionals from Mastercard AI Garage, HP Global, and PARSIQ.

The hackathon followed a structured timeline, beginning with participant registration, followed by an inauguration ceremony, hacking sessions, mentoring rounds, and judging phases. The winners were Pixel Minds from Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Engineering, Part Time Humans from Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, NullPointers from BM Munjal University, and Mysterious Lions, the best fresher’s team from Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Engineering. The panel of judges comprised leading experts such as Deepak Yadav (Director, Data Science, Mastercard AI Garage), Ivan Ivanitskiy (Head of Developer Relations, PARSIQ), and Ayon Roy (Data Scientist, HP Global).

Sponsorship played a crucial role in the success of Code Kshetra 2.0, with over 30 sponsors, including Mastercard, Microsoft, GitHub Education, Groq, and Pathway AI, contributing to the event’s prestige. The hackathon’s impact extended beyond competition, providing participants with networking opportunities, hands-on experience, and exposure to cutting-edge technology. The event was lauded for its seamless execution, high-quality mentorship, and the transformative learning experience it offered.

Participant feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many emphasizing the value of real-world problem-solving, industry networking, and skill enhancement. Mentors also appreciated the enthusiasm and talent displayed by participants, acknowledging the hackathon as a breeding ground for innovation.
