On November 14, 2024, a group of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students from JIMS Rohini, Sector-5, affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), visited the Amar Ujala Foundation. This prestigious organization, headquartered in the Delhi-NCR region, is renowned for its media, journalism, and social initiatives.
The visit commenced with a warm welcome by the staff and volunteers of the Amar Ujala Foundation, who introduced the students to the organization's mission, vision, and operational framework. The Amar Ujala Group is a leading media entity in India, committed to delivering quality journalism and contributing to societal development.
The students were provided with an in-depth overview of Amar Ujala’s operations, emphasizing its role in media, printing, and digital transformation. They gained firsthand experience of the processes involved in the production and distribution of newspapers, alongside insights into how the organization navigates challenges posed by the evolving media landscape.
This visit offered insights into inventory control and supply chain management, equipping students with knowledge of the art of printing and the technology involved in media production. It allowed them to understand pre-printing processes such as layout design, typesetting, and image editing, emphasizing the integration of technology in these stages.
