On 29th August 2022, JIMS Rohini organised an Industrial Visit for PGDM- Retail Management students to the Coca-Cola Happiness Factory by Moon Beverages Ltd.
This visit aimed towards exposing students to the factory of Coca-Cola beverages. The visit began with a documentary on the history of the world's most famous beverage brand.
During the visit, the students gained in-depth knowledge about sourcing (water which constitutes about 82% of the drink), bottling ( from preforms to bottles and the packaging process.
The students also got to know some lesser-known facts about the brand like:
A. Coca-Cola is the second most widely understood term in the world after "ok".
B. Santa Claus, the Christmas legend in his red suit was designed and advertised by Coca-Cola.
C. The coveted secret formula is kept at The Vault of the Secret Formula Exhibit in Atlanta, US.
D. Coca-Cola has sponsored the Olympic Games since 1928 making it one of the longest-running sponsors of all time.
E. North Korea is the only place in the world where you can't buy or sell Coke, It has even made its way to space.
The practical experience helped in making students knowledge more realistic and clear. It was a wonderful experience for them to visit one of the leading companies in the beverage world.
