JIMS, Sector 5, Rohini organized an interactive session for PGDM-IB students on “Nuances of Capital Market and related career” on 25th July 2022. The speakers of the session were Mr. Harbinder Singh Sokhi, part of BSE Investor protection fund and Ms. Shweta Camma, a financial market trainer.
Mr. Harbinder started the session by giving quick information about his profile and guided students to understand the various ways in which an investor can earn money from the equity markets by investing directly and indirectly through buying various equities, bonds and options and also through investment and trading.
Mr. Harbinder had his life stories to tell in which he started his journey from a brokerage firm which made 600-700% on the investment made over a period of 10 years.
Ms Shweta Camma took over the session. She helped students to understand the importance of money by maintaining discipline and patience, which can buy good fortune along with financial freedom.
It was an interactive session and not a one-way talk in which students asked them many questions about their investment journey, and much more.
Both concluded the session with a suggestion to be independent in using their finances and start investing right from the beginning.
