Dr. Suman Madan

- Information Technology

Specialisation: DBMS, Software Testing, Big Data, Data Structures

Dr. Suman Madan is Ph.D(Computer Sc. & Engg), M.Phil, MCA and ICAR-NET qualified Faculty in MCA department with more than 22 years of teaching experience in GGSIPU affiliated institutions and University of Delhi colleges. She has completed her doctorate from SRM University, Sonepat in the area of Big data Privacy. She is also  IBM certified Academic Associate, DB2 9 Database & Application Fundamentals.


Dr. Madan has 5 for her research. Two Indian utility Patents and two design patents granted for her work in areas of Big data Privacy and IoT.  One Australian Innovation Patent granted for her research work in area of Blockchain and IOT. 

Apart from teaching, Dr. Madan has authored several books and chapters for IGNOU MCA students in the areas of DBMS, Electronic Commerce, Assembly language, Object Oriented programming, Digital Electronics etc. She has been reviewer of Web of Science and SCOPUS indexed journals and chaired various technical sessions in International conferences.  She has also published many research papers in Journals and Conferences indexed in SCIE/Scopus/ IEEE/WoS/UGC approved etc. Her research accomplishments of last 5 years include more than 250 citations in international/national journals and owns H-index of 10 and I10 index of 10.   


As a Resource person, she has taken FDP sessions on Data Analytics using EXCEL and Robotics and MDP on Data science Analytics, data visualization using Tableau and Handling Database queries for officials of DTC-India . Also, As Resource person and coordinator of Robotic Workshop, she has specially conducted workshops for school teachers of NCR Region and annually for JIMS MCA students.
