Jagan Institute of Management Studies recently organized DANDIYA 2012 on Saturday 20th October, 2012 at its Campus on the special occasion of Navratri. The magical night was fun-filled full of music, dance, colour & masti. The night was a replica of true Gujarati colour instilled in the campus. The décor was an enigma of a picturesque decked in vivid multi colors of Gujarat. The night was conceptualized on Navratri theme.

All the dignitaries’ Dr. J.K Goyal (Director), JIMS, Mr. Manish Gupta (Chairman) JIMS, Prof. R.P Maheshwari (Director General) JIMS, Dr Madan Mohan ( Dean) PGDM JIMS, Dr Sumesh Raizada (Dean) PGDM RMM , JIMS graced the occasion in the name of Goddess Ma Durga idol by lighting the lamp. The event celebrated the occasion of Navratri. All the Alumni, Corporate & Students graced the event with their spouse & children. Both the children & the adults enjoyed the colour fiesta through fun games & stalls like Tattoo Making & Magician.

Some feet thumping performances added colors in the event. Students from Karmaarth also participated & presented Gujarati Folk Dance which created a splurge of true Gujarati nature to the evening. The audience also participated in fun Question-answer round which added an interactive zeal to the environment. The evening was full of masti and colour enhancing enthusiasm and fun amongst everyone.

The major highlights of the event were some peppy dance numbers performances by students, solo singing (vocal & instrumental) & shayari. To add colors to the event some highlights were kept they were: Best Outfit Prize, Best Dance Moves, Best Dandiya Style, Best Couple, Best Make Up, Kid Star Performer & Most Entertaining kid of the evening

It was an evening to be remembered with all traditional colors uniting & celebrating the festivity. It was thoroughly enjoyed by ALL!!
