Student Placement Committee at JIMS Rohini
JIMS students are actively engaged in placement activities, and the Student Placement Committee (SPC)/PCM is there to support them. This committee consists of two elected members from each section totalling 10 members per batch and is supervised by CRMC. Team help to coordinate throughout placements. To further spread awareness about JIMS initiatives across India, CRMC travels to various cities for meetings with existing or prospective recruiters where they make presentations concerning its activities.
Efforts of the CRMC Towards Job Placements
The CRMC provides personalized support to every student by helping them identify their goal/career path post completion of their course. The CRMC organizes pre-placement talks (PPTs) by industry leaders from various sectors so that students can get exposure to different job profiles in these industries.
In addition to this, Placement Officers arrange
- Arranging, coordinating & facilitating with the resource persons including internal faculty, experts from corporate/Subject experts to conduct technical sessions to make the students placement ready before they go for the company process.
- Maintaining SWOT analysis of every student in a drive to record their family background, personal preferences, locational constraints, attitudinal issues, areas of improvement etc. for the use of RMs/Deans.
- Organizing one to one company specific training sessions with the students appearing in the process of any company, in order to discuss the company/ job description / industry/ competitors etc.
- Guiding and training students on soft skills, interview etiquette and body language etc.
- To arrange company specific alumni interaction.
- Providing career guidance and counseling to the students.
Personality development workshops wherein students are taught how to face interviews confidently or how to handle group discussions effectively. This ensures that they are better prepared when they appear for placements drives conducted by different organizations during campus recruitment season at JIMS Rohini.
Mock tests are regularly organized at JIMS Rohini wherein students can familiarize themselves with recruitment tests conducted by various organizations before taking part in actual placement drives hosted on campus by these organizations.
