Aim

The JIMS 8i – Journal of Information, Innovation & Intelligence aims to provide a high-quality scholarly platform for researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and policymakers to disseminate original research, critical reviews, and innovative practices in the interdisciplinary domains of information technology, innovation management, artificial intelligence, data-driven systems, and intelligent applications.

JIMS 8i follows a double-blind peer-review process and adheres to international standards of publication ethics.

Peer Review Policy

The JIMS 8i – Journal of Information, Communication and Computing Technology (IJICCT) follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and originality of published research. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess relevance to the journal's scope, originality, ethical compliance, and formatting requirements. Manuscripts meeting the criteria are reviewed by at least two independent subject experts.

Reviewers evaluate submissions based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, relevance, and contribution to the field. Based on reviewers' recommendations, manuscripts may be accepted, revised, or rejected. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision.

The journal adheres to COPE guidelines, maintains strict confidentiality, and screens all manuscripts for plagiarism and ethical compliance.

Copyright & Licensing Policy

Authors publishing in the JIMS 8i – Journal of Information, Communication and Computing Technology (IJICCT) retain the copyright to their published work.

By submitting and publishing their manuscript, authors grant JIMS 8i the right to publish, reproduce, and distribute the article in all formats and media. All published articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License, which permits unrestricted use, sharing, adaptation, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Authors are free to self-archive the published version of their articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, and academic networking platforms, with appropriate citation to the original publication in JIMS 8i.

This policy supports ethical publishing and wide dissemination of research while ensuring proper attribution to authors.

Plagiarism Policy

The JIMS 8i – Journal of Information, Communication and Computing Technology (IJICCT) is committed to publishing original and high-quality research and maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.

All submitted manuscripts are screened using standard plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, or excessive similarity are rejected outright. Proper citation and acknowledgment of sources are mandatory.

If plagiarism is detected at any stage—before or after publication—the journal reserves the right to reject, retract, or remove the article and take appropriate action in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Authors are solely responsible for the originality and ethical integrity of their work.

Archiving Policy

JIMS 8i - International Journal of Information, Communication and Computing Technology (IJICCT) is committed to ensure the availability and preservation of manuscript published with it since its inception (2013). All the Issues of each volume are permanently available on the journal's official website/webportal https://www.jimsindia.org.

In addition, Journal also has a publication and subscription agreement with Indianjournals.com. All the articles are also archived and made accessible through their registered website https://www.jimsindia.org. This dual-hosting mechanism ensures redundancy, continuity of access, and long-term digital preservation of the Journal's scholarly content.

Since IndianJournals.com is included under the One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) initiative, articles published in the Journal and hosted on the IndianJournals.com platform are accessible to eligible students, researchers, and faculty members of ONOS-participating institutions, without the need for individual subscriptions. This supports wider dissemination, equitable access, and enhanced visibility of the Journal's published research.

The Journal adheres to ethical publishing standards and maintains archival records, metadata, and access logs in accordance with recognized academic and digital preservation best practices.

Generative AI Statement

Author(s) declare(s) that GenAI tools are not used for research data generation, data analysis, generating figures or tables and formulating a conclusion. However, the following (If any) GenAI tools are used for Language editing and content clarity.

Authors take the full responsibility for the originality, accuracy and ethical compliance of the contents written in the manuscript. If the JIMs8i journal determines that any of the information written in the manuscript or details mentioned in the declaration statements are inaccurate, misleading, ambiguous or false, then the journal has all the rights to withdraw the published article from journal archives, without prior notice.

Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

JIMS 8i-International journal of Information, Communication and Computing Technology(IJICCT) is an online blind-reviewed half-yearly journal, committed to publish quality publication on regular basis.

The publication of an article in a blind reviewed journal is an essential requirement in the development of a knowledge network. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Blind-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behaviour for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the reviewer, the publisher and the society of society-owned or sponsored journals.

JIMS 8i-IJICCT is serving scientific committee for quality publication services with minimum plagiarism. We have noticed a significant increase in the number of cases of plagiarism so it is the responsibility of authors that they should submit their manuscript ensuring proper list of references with complete cross referencing as suggested in author guideline with minimum plagiarism. It is necessary to agree upon standards of expected ethical behaviour for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer and the publisher. Our ethic statements are based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Peer Review Policy and Publication decisions

The editor is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. The editor may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editor may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision. An editor at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

JIMS 8i-IJICCT is a peer reviewed journal. During the process of review our editor first review a paper with online software to know the % of plagiarism. If it is below a certain norm then the approved manuscript undergoes for technical review with three random subject experts from the list of reviewers. Editor takes his decision after receiving reviewer comment from all three reviewers. The decision is based on the reviewer’s approval and editor’s own evaluation. Editor has complete responsibility and authority to reject/accept an article, editor also not having conflict of interest with respect to articles he reject /accept .

Confidentiality

The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.

Reviewer’s Responsibilities

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author, may also assist the author in improving the paper.

Promptness

Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible, should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.

Confidentiality

Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others unless authorized by the editor.

Standards of Objectivity

Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement, that an observation, derivation, or argument which had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation.

A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

Author's Responsibilities

Reporting Standards

Authors of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behaviour and are unacceptable.

Originality and Plagiarism

The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.

Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication

An author should not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and is unacceptable.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.

Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors.

The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.

Fundamental errors in published works

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
