Orientation Programme
For MCA, BBA and BCA Batch 2013-2016

Jagan Institute of Management Studies welcomed its new batches of MCA, BBA and BCA (2013-16). The orientation which was held on 30th and 31st August, 2013, began in the name of almighty through melodious Saraswati Vandana. The IT department along with all dignitaries of JIMS was present to welcome the new entrants of technology.
Prof R.P Maheshwari, Director General, JIMS began the session with his welcome speech filled with motivation and promoting a zeal of enthusiasm in the students to take up challenges in the IT sector. He mentioned that “Now is the time for talent mobility revolution” where invention is at a fast pace. Therefore Change should be kept in mind to reach the highest rung of the ladder. He also mentioned some valuable thoughts such as “There is no shortcut to hard work, success needs more effort than luck alone. With discipline, dedication and determination comes transparency and honesty”.
Further, Dr V.B Aggarwal, Director IT, welcomed all students with his igniting thoughts about the current trends in the IT sector. He mentioned that technology is changing at a fast pace therefore we should keep in mind this change and should explore new opportunities at every step of life”.
Dr. J.K Goyal, Director Management, gave an enlightening speech to the students welcoming all to the JIMS family.
The Orientation Program was conceptualized with the efforts of Dr Praveen Arora, HOD- IT Department and her team. The entire event saw good participation of students, welcoming all new fresh entrants to the JIMS Family.
