The business world has been a playground of VUCA traits ever since businesses expanded their indulgences beyond single products and markets. However, the recent times have experienced a never-seen-earlier kind of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity for businesses. Economic, political, technological, societal and ecological factors have evolved and continue to take unpredictable turns in the globalized and now increasingly de-globalized world. What should be done in such an environment? Strategize for sure!
The judicious response lies in carefully designing strategies in the areas of marketing, human resource management and finance that enable a planned confrontation of the unfriendly business environment. Thinkers and management experts believe that without turning backs on the traditional tools, innovative and situation-based solutions must be explored as an ongoing mission.

Objective

Decisions that are based on treating the VUCA traits as the same are more likely to result in under performances and poor achievements. Understanding the environmental traits as distinct yet interdependent, unavoidable yet tamable, threatening yet with a ray of hope - can unleash the desired goals of growth and excellence beyond sustenance. ICAMP 2017 is an endeavour to synergise industry academia efforts to evaluate VUCA in a better manner.
