Guest session on- Freight forwarding by Mr Sumit Saxena, Airfreight operations at Kuehne Nagel Pvt Ltd and also an Alumni of PGDM IB(2011-13).
PGDM-International Business of JIMS Rohini organized an alumni session on "freight forwarding" on 28th Nov 2020 for the first year students with an aim to enhance their knowledge toward logistics.
Sumit Saxena started his session by sharing his journey from a Management Post graduate to a professional in the Logistics area. He introduced logistics and explained by giving real life examples to make the concept clearer. Mr Saxena mentioned how freight forward plays a crucial role for delivery of various services and products which includes packaging, e-services, monitoring and many more. Mr Saxena also explained the challenges faced by him during his journey. He further explained the process of the overall cycle of freight forwarding which includes planning and organizing. The session was very engaging since the students’ clarified many of their doubts related to the topic.
