ABOUT “PRASTUTI “-TECHNO-MANAGEMENT PRESENTATION CONTEST

PRASTUTI is an initiative of the Department of Information Technology, JIMS, Rohini, and has been organized annually since 2007. It is a theme-based presentation contest open to both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students from diverse academic streams.

The event provides a dynamic platform to foster a culture of research, critical thinking, and innovation among students. PRASTUTI serves as a stage where participants can demonstrate their technical expertise and showcase their communication skills through impactful presentations.

Students are encouraged to present their ideas in the form of case studies, innovative projects, programming solutions, or novel inventions—such as gadgets, management models, or original theoretical frameworks—aligned with the given theme.

Through this contest, students from various universities, institutes, and colleges are invited to showcase their creativity and insights on the theme: “Climate Awareness to Climate Action: Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future.”

OBJECTIVE OF THE CONTEST

Environmental sustainability seeks to maintain a healthy balance between human activities and natural ecosystems, while also serving as a warning system when this balance is disturbed. Since human actions are the primary drivers of ecosystem change, it is essential to educate and actively engage communities in sustainability efforts.

Youth play a pivotal role in driving environmental sustainability, as they are both the most affected by today’s environmental decisions and the most capable of shaping a greener future. With their creativity, energy, and adaptability to technology, young people can lead climate awareness campaigns, develop innovative sustainable solutions, and influence communities through responsible practices. By adopting eco-friendly lifestyles, advocating for policy changes, and participating in environmental initiatives, youth can transform awareness into action and become powerful agents of change for protecting the planet.

The objective of this convention is to provide a platform for discussions about this environmental challenges, raise awareness, encourage participation, and develop responsible behaviors among youth to protect and conserve the environment
