JIMS offers PGDM with specialisation in HR and the course lays a foundation by developing and evolving an individual’s appraoch to manage employeeswith strong focus on application of HR practices and strategies. The course also delves into legal context of handling labour and workers in the organisation. An important and integral part of people management includes skill related to individual , interpersonal , team and organisation behaviour. The course seamlessly embeds modules specifically aimed towards behaviour management and specific HR related competencies in functional areas such as hiring employees, onboarding, training and development, managing performance, compensation and rewards, engagement and inclusion.
This course , PGDM HR at JIMS Rohini leads students to a new level of understanding about people and range of options that can be implemented to manage employees, a grasp on what works and what fails in organisational settings, what triggers employee volatility and their own readiness to develop and polish HR competencies.
Course Objective
PGDM HR intends to groom HR leaders of tomorrow and is focussed towards following broad objectives:

- To understand the implication of human resource management on behavioural aspects of employees.
- To develop an understanging of elements of HR function from recruitment, selection, training, performance evaluation, compensation and separation.

Course Content
The pedagogical inputs of the specialisation subjects is done through rigorous brainstorming sessions of academicians and experts from corporates. A series of intellectual exchange and discussion are done on the course structure and content to be included in each subject. The course contents undergo revision and updation every year. In the first year the students are exposed to the Functions of managment, Organisation Behavior and basics of Human Resource Management. These courses lay foundation in understanding the critical role of human resource in an organisation. For the students opting HR specialisation , following papers are crafted keeping into consideration theoretical aspect and industry requirements, these papers are spread across IV, V and VI Trimester. Each specific papers is indicative of key competencies required to handle people in industry .

Pedagogy
An innovative blend of claassroom teaching along with industry exposure lays the foundation of robust career in HR. The concepts discussed in lecture founds an expression in the form of application in projects, group presentation, case study discussion , group discussion and extempore which are also evaluative in nature. The students are also indulged in HR related short term live projects in industy depending on the firm specific need. After completion of three trimester , they undergo summer internship in reputed industrial organisations to practice and hone their skills. In the final year they have to prepare a project report demostrating the knowledge and skills acquired during the entire journey. The corporate interface includes seminars, worskshops, talk shows, mock interview sessions to make them familiar with industry requirements, culture and level of preparedness.
