Summer Internship Program at JIMS Rohini

As per AICTE, Summer internship is are an important part of any PGDM student's academic experience. Summer internships provide students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, build their resume, and network with professionals in their chosen field. Summer internships also give students a chance to explore potential career paths before committing to a full-time job after completion of the PGDM. 

For PGDM students looking for summer internship opportunities, there is no shortage of options available. Many companies offer paid or unpaid summer internships that are up to two months in duration. Summer interns may be asked to assist with research projects, create business plans and presentations, manage data analysis projects, take part in marketing campaigns and other activities related to their field of study. Companies typically look for candidates who demonstrate strong problem solving skills as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities when selecting summer interns. 

In addition to gaining professional experience during a summer internship program, many employers also provide mentorships for their interns which can help them develop leadership skills and increase self-confidence going forward into the workforce after completion graduation from PGDM Program equivalent to MBA. Summer internships may also lead directly into full-time positions at the company if they make a great impression on their employer during the course of the program.

During the internship, each student is assigned two mentors, one from the faculty and another from a corporate firm. These eight weeks of industry experience not only prepares them for their final placements but also gives them an insight into corporate culture and work practices. To complete the program, students must submit a project report at its conclusion. Furthermore, with satisfactory performance during this period many interns can even secure pre-placement offers!

Tenure - 2 months, starting 1st May to 30th June

Stipend - Varies from company to company.

Maximum stipend was of INR 30,000 for 2021 - 23 Batch students.
