Shashank was previously the Founding Member and Vice President of VCCEdge, the data platform by VCCircle. He led revenue, product development and growth initiatives for close to seven years at VCCEdge. VCCircle was acquired by News Corporation in 2015 where he served as business head for the division until 2016. He has also worked with NIIT Ltd. and Zensar Technologies Ltd.

He is additionally also an Angel Investor and Advisor with a keen interest in B2B Emerging technology, SaaS, Fintech, Cleantech, Deeptech and Edtech startups. Shashank holds an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Engineering from Nagpur University, and an MBA from International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi.

Today, the four-year-old startup offers 30 flavours of flower teas across 11 countries, including in Europe, the US, and Australia, with a revenue run rate of Rs 1 crore per month.The startup’s success story lies in the founding duo’s never-ending desire to experiment with flavours and interesting blends. Not content to restrict their offerings, the duo aims to create an umbrella entity with all things ‘herbal and exotic’ and has recently launched two new brands—Yogafy (herbal homeware products) and Yogaway (herbal slimming products). It has also ventured into flavoured coffee with its brand Bigbean. The bootstrapped startup transitioned from B2B to ecommerce in 2018. Delhi-based edtech startup Gurucool has raised $150,000 (around Rs 1 crore) in a Pre-Seed round led by angel investor Parvez Jasani, chief executive officer of Zulie Venture Inc. and startup incubator FreeFlow Venture Builders, the company said.
