Workshop on Relevance of Six Sigma Techniques in Decision Making
On 13th July 2009, JIMS organized a "Workshop by KPMG India on relevance of six sigma techniques in decision making". Six sigma is a business management strategy, which seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects and variations in manufacturing and business process. Nitesh Jain, senior consultant KPMG India took the session. Deepika Saxena, faculty PGDM introduced Nitesh to the audience. Nitesh has trained more than 160 professionals on six sigma green belt concepts. The purpose of workshop was to equip students about the importance of six sigma. Mr. Nitesh reflected it’s not the Company which is six sigma certified but the individual who is certified with six sigma. Six sigma program has proved to be successful in career advancement and to secure jobs hence, JIMS showed keen interest in availing this opportunity for its students.
