The inauguration of the refresher programme witnessed Prof. R.P. Maheshwari, Honorable Director General, and Dr. J.K. Goyal, Director JIMS addressing the new vibrant enthusiastic PGDM Batch of 2009-11. Prof. R.P. Maheshwari conveyed his blessings and congratulated the students for being able to get admission in the course of their liking. His speech was indeed a motivating and interactive one. He involved the entire batch with his rather interesting unconventional questions like what is your religion? And what is the most valuable asset you have? He also stressed on time being the most valuable asset and its optimal utilization. He relieved students from fear of ragging by asserting that JIMS is a ragging free campus and ragging even in its mildest form shall be strictly dealt with.
Dr. J.K. Goyal gave a warm welcome to the students. Apart from giving a brief description of refresher programme, he was concerned about the health and well being of students and wished them a pleasant stay in Delhi. He encouraged students to keep themselves updated with the Corporate World and to work hard as students constitute the Human Capital of the Nation.
Dr. Madan Mohan, Dean of the PGDM programme gave the vote of thanks and wished the students all the best for future.
