JIMS, Rohini organized the second “North India InfoTech Student Conference – CYNOSURE’11” on Wednesday, 6th April 2011 in the Institute’s premises. As the name connotes, the event was a cynosure of all eyes and at the same time served as a magnetic field for attracting sharp talent.The students’ conference was successfully implemented by the faculty and students of the MCA Department under the guidance of Ms Deepshikha Aggarwal, Associate Professor (IT). The aim of organizing this conference was to provide a platform to the students of BCA, B.Tech and MCA for participating, sharing, interacting, and honing their technical skills. This provided the avenue for the students to present their knowledge, technical and soft skills to professional judges from industry and academia and win prizes on the basis of their performance. There were 12 contests organized such as PPT presentation, Poster Presentation, InfoTech Quiz Competition, Programming Contest, Website Designing Contest and Advertisement Designing Competition. More than 500 students from over 25 colleges from in and around Delhi participated with great enthusiasm. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the winning teams. The event was a grand success and JIMS is planning to conduct many such events on a regular basis.
